About the Album Incubus
I didn’t set out to create a narrative for the album. It just came about naturally.
This is an album about raw emotions — sometimes extreme ones.
About doubts. About searching for light within one’s soul when it feels as though everything is shrouded in darkness.
The mysticism of love here is neither a game nor a stylised concept. It is the language the soul speaks when ordinary words are no longer enough.
But running through it all is the belief that light exists. Even when it cannot be seen.
I am infinitely grateful to Dmitry Ursul, who served as lead guitarist and sound engineer. For keeping the recorded material safe for many years, carefully nurturing this project over the years, and doing everything in his power to ensure the result was of the highest possible quality. Without him, this album would not exist.
